DIY Easter Bunny

In Germany, a good bunny comes to good kids for Easter with a whole basket of chocolate eggs. Why don't we invite cute, eared Easter rabbits to the house for a bright holiday!


You will need:



  • knitted fabric with a brushed / terry wrong side of light gray and pink,
  • filler,
  • flizofiks,
  • embroidery threads in dark gray and pink,
  • Woolen yarn
  • fork,
  • scissors,
  • tailor pins
  • needles
  • chalk pencil
  • sewing threads
  • patterns

Step 1



Cut parts A, C, D, E, F, G and H from light gray knitwear with 7 mm seam allowances. Cut out part B from pink knitwear without allowances.
A 4x, B 2x, C 1x, D 1x, E 2x, F 1x, G 2x, H 2x.

Step 2. Ears



Iron parts B with a flizofix to two parts, A and press along the contour with a narrow zigzag.

Step 3



Fold two parts of each ear together with the front side inwards and grind along the contour, leaving a small area for turning out in the seam open.

Step 4



To turn out ears, to put between parts C and D a face to the face and to stitch.

Step 5



Pin each side part E to parts C and D with the front side to the front side and stitch.

Step 6



Stitch part F in the same way (lower part of the head / chin). Then turn out the head and fill with filler.

Step 7



Along the hole at the bottom of the head (lower sections of the parts of the head), manually lay up stitch stitches, then thread the thread well and tie it in a knot.

Step 8



Embroider a spout manually with pink thread for embroidery.Then embroider the eyes with dark gray thread for embroidery.

Step 9



Fold the details G with the front sides and make the middle seam of the back. Fold the details H with the front sides and make the middle seam of the front (abdomen). Fold part G and H with the front sides, chop and grind along the contour, leaving a small opening for turning out in front. Cut in front.

Step 10



Turn out the body and fill it with filler. To process the neck, as described in step 7. Press with your finger on the body so that the hind legs meet slightly. Sew the hind legs to the body manually in this position - so the bunny will sit. Sew the head to the body manually.

How to make a pompom: ways and tips



Step 11



For a pompom pompon, not too long end of the wool yarn to fix between the cloves of the fork in the middle. Yarn many times on a fork.

Step 12



The winding is tied in the middle with the free end of the yarn.

Step 13



Winding cut along the sides along the fork.

Step 14



Pompom tail evenly trim and sew manually to the body.
