The famous designer Victoria Andreyanova presents in our anniversary project a dress-coat, familiar to many readers of Burda magazine since 1987.
This model adorned the first issue of Burda in Russian and was no less popular than the famous jacket from the cover, which we talked about in a previous publication.
Victoria Andreyanova considers the dress-coat as still relevant and offers a new interpretation.

What, in your opinion, is the secret of this model?
A stock double-breasted dress is a very elegant piece of clothing that makes a woman slim, as a double row of buttons stretches the middle line of the figure. In general, a dress-coat is a trendy and comfortable thing in the wardrobe. It can be worn as a dress, cardigan or cloak. Depending on the context, it will always look fresh and in a new way.How important is the ability to sew for a woman who wants to be fashionable?
Sewing is creativity, self-expression, it helps a woman to get to know herself better and gives reason to be proud of her work. Great to be able to sew! Because you can analyze everything that is suggested by trends, and choose something for yourself from this variety, in a specific range, combine things with each other, use the finish that you need.In my case, at first there was a desire to sew, and the rest came along the course of study. I comprehended the profession from the very beginning, "from the needle" - at the Theater and Art College. And then she entered the Textile Academy. These skills came in handy in my profession: I do not just draw images, I can speak the same language with the team.Collection Victoria Andreyanova "Presentiment" spring-summer 2017
Have you known Burda magazine for a long time?
Of course, I sewed a lot on it, and the patterns were incredible help, they taught me to feel the line and enjoy the cut. The magazine was worth the money, but any women's team had an internal library of Burda numbers. I well remember the first coat that I sewed according to the magazine - a long, double-breasted coat made of wool in a herringbone, with an astrakhan collar. As an old habit, when I come across Burda magazine, I flip through it and note that it has changed a lot. It has much more information on trends, color combinations. Recommendations to readers appeared which models are better suited for different types of figures. Sewing on Burda patterns is a very fascinating activity, which, unfortunately, a long-working woman can not always afford. But if you treat this process as creativity, you can always make the right choice and find the time for yourself.- Best-seller
