Recalling the traditions of national types of needlework, developing them further and using them creatively - such a task was set by Louise Lo in front of her studio Malhas & Cia (Knitting & Co).

Louise Law was born in Portugal, but grew up in London. Then she returned to Portugal, then moved to Brazil and returned home again.
Louise learned the basics of needlework from her grandmother in London and began to knit the first models according to descriptions in magazines.
Years passed and, living in Brazil, she returned to her hobby. Experiments began, attempts to realize the experience gained during the wanderings. Gradually, confidence grew that hobbies could turn into real work. This was also facilitated by the support of enthusiastic admirers.
Things related to Louise were unusual, caused a smile, and most importantly - their creation coincided with a revival in the whole world of interest in knitting and crocheting.
Four years ago, a Malhas & Cia shop / atelier came into being. A creatively designed showcase with huge scissors, unusual dolls and a lady knitting on knitting needles immediately attracts attention. All this is done with huge knitting needles in XL format. Thus, Louise Law demonstrates that knitting can be not only a practical creative leisure, but also a real art. An art to share.
In the studio new ideas are constantly emerging and work begins, which then ends at home.
Photos of finished products are regularly posted on the Malhas & Cia Facebook page so that all fans of this type of needlework can enjoy and express their opinion.
Louise is constantly looking for inspiration in different parts of the world to make our smiles again and again.
Atelier exists relatively recently, but during this time it became clear: knitting makes people happy.
The best incentive for a creative workshop is to return to the new generation the heritage of traditional types of needlework, giving it a new, bright and cheerful life.
