This flower brooch, resembling a small white lily, is made of thin felt. You can attract a child to work - a template for a flower can be circled on his palm. A flower can also be sewn not to a pin, but, for example, to a rim, hairpin or elastic band for hair.
Making a flower brooch from felt
You will need:
- paper, pencil and paper scissors;
- thin felt of white, green and yellow colors;
- green floss;
- needle for hand sewing;
- safety pin;
- scissors for fabric.

Step 1
Draw a flower template on paper. Here, for this, the child’s palm is circled. You can simply draw a similar pattern with 5 slightly different sized petals. Draw the second template, slightly reducing the first. Cut patterns.
Step 2
Cut 2 details from white felt according to patterns, details from yellow and green felt in the form, as in the photo.
Step 3
Start folding the flower. First, roll the detail of the stamens into a tube, on top - the smaller part of the flower, then - the larger part of the flower. Sew the flower below with a few stitches to stitch all layers together.
Step 4
Then add the part of the leaflet, also sew. Sew a pin. From above, wrap everything in a long green felt detail in a spiral, as shown in the photo. Fasten the beginning and end of the part with threads. Done.
