Natural materials are becoming more and more fashionable. Flax is one of the few environmentally friendly and body-friendly fabrics. You can sew anything from it - both clothes and interior items.

Flax, like cotton, is extracted from plant fibers, namely from the stems of flax.
Quality: linen - a canvas with a very smooth, matte-shiny surface. Flax is resistant to dirt and rolling. Easily absorbs moisture (up to 23% of its own weight) and dries quickly. Flax products are hygienic, very comfortable for the skin and perfect for summer products, especially for tropical climates. The canvas is resistant to tearing, and more durable in the wet state than in the dry. Due to the content of starch fibers, flax is stiffer than cotton, it is easily wrinkled, but jammed folds look noble. Cotton blended linen is lighter and softer, always with a matte finish. Canvases with the addition of lavsan shrink less and are easy to wash, but they are harder to iron.

Care: when washing ordinary linen can be boiled. Depending on the type of enrichment treatment, different temperatures are chosen for washing. For colored items - 60 °, for linen with intensive processing (easy care) - 40 ° and gentle washing modes. For linen made from natural and bleached linen, washing is allowed using standard means; for unbleached and colored linen, delicate detergents or detergents that do not contain bleach are used.
When buying linen sheets, always pay attention to the care labels. In doubtful cases, it is better to dry clean the products. Flax products can be dried in a centrifuge, however, they can be skewed.
When ironing, flax tolerates high temperatures, but the fabric must be moistened, ironed with a wet ironer or with plenty of steam. It should also be borne in mind that linen without additives strongly sits.
