Godet - stylish retro

"Shot glass" or "bowl" - the word godet is translated from French. It became the name for the skirt of the corresponding silhouette.

Skirts of this style appeared in the 60s of the XX century. They sat tightly on the hips and gracefully expanded downwards, which provided wedge inserts. And they were long - at least until the middle of the caviar. Sewing skirts-year from different fabrics - from linen to wool and velvet.

Feminine and spectacular

But you should be careful with the choice of such a skirt: it, of course, effectively accentuates the hips, but if they are wide, then ... it is better to prefer a different style.

There are some recommendations that should be followed when putting on a year. Do not try to combine this expressive skirt with ballet shoes, loafers or moccasins - only heels. Do not wear a voluminous top with a long one-year skirt, only girls with a model appearance can afford it. And no bulk bags and street-chic backpacks - by the year choose clutches and small elegant reticules.And with accessories, do this: give preference to one large and spectacular (for example, a bracelet or necklace) and wear instead of several small ones.
