The start of the marathon took place on April 10 in Moscow on Poklonnaya Hill. And until April 28, a series of similar donor actions will be held in five other cities of Russia.

The marathon dedicated to the 70th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War is held in support of the Development Program for Mass Voluntary Blood Donation and its components by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the FMBA of Russia at the initiative of LG Electronics. UTair Airlines supports LG’s good deeds initiative and Eldorado, LG’s long-standing partner in the business of consumer electronics and social projects. For the first time in the history of the LG volunteer project, the route of the marathon will pass through the Hero-Cities and the Cities of military glory, and the movement between them will be carried out on three types of transport aircraft-bus-train. From April 10 to 28, the Eldorado bus with the project participants will visit Smolensk and St. Petersburg, and then the UTair airline will continue the path of donor initiatives, which will take the participants of the marathon from St. Petersburg to Voronezh and Rostov-on-Don. The organizers will arrive in the final city of Volgograd by train. Donor Days are planned in each region, with direct participation of employees from LG, Eldorado, UTair Airlines, representatives of the National Council for Corporate Volunteering, the All-Russian Volunteer Corps of the 70th Anniversary of Victory, and the Run For Me federal project.It is important that the project starts on the eve of National Donor Day, celebrated on April 20. The marathon is also devoted to the enormous contribution of donors, whose civic achievement made it possible to bring Victory closer: during the years of the Great Patriotic War, 5.5 million people donated more than 1.7 million liters of blood. By tradition, the start of the social initiative was supported by the famous Russian athletes - Maria Petrova and Alexei Tikhonov, the champions of Russia, two-time European and doubles world champions, and Maria Butyrskaya, the first Russian champion in women's single skating, three-time European champion, six-time champion of Russia. The good deeds marathon will be an essential component of the new platform of the LG brand. Taking care of everyone.
The main goal of the donor marathon "70 Years of Victory" is to promote the topic of business social responsibility and to unite the largest companies to implement good deeds and a noble mission. Therefore, an important component of the marathon is the joining of LG partners ’Eldorado and UTair airlines to donor initiatives.

The “Donor Marathon“ 70th Anniversary of Victory ”logically continues a number of such important projects as the“ Train of Innovation and Good Deeds ”2012, the“ Technology of Good ”marathon of 2013, the“ Air Good Marathon ”of 2014, during which the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and The FMBA of Russia at the initiative of LG organized donor actions.

On April 10, the Eldorado bus went from Moscow to Smolensk, where the 70th anniversary Donor Day, initiated by LG, was held. Today and tomorrow he will visit St. Petersburg. And from the northern capital of the marathon, the UTair plane will deliver the participants to Voronezh (April 19–21) and then to Rostov-on-Don (April 22–24). The organizers will travel to the final city of Volgograd by train (April 27–28). Donor events will be held in all cities of the project, and lectures and master classes by Tatyana Shakhnes, LG Public Relations Director in Russia, a member of the Donor Coordination Council at the RF OP, and representatives of partner companies: Oksana Kritikova, will be organized for students of regional universities , head of Eldorado’s internal communications and social projects division and head of UTair’s corporate communications department, Olympic silver medalist, 4-time biathlon world champion Nikolai Kruglov, on the importance of corporate volunteering.
By tradition, the famous Russian athletes will become the ambassadors of donation and a healthy lifestyle. For five years, prominent Russian athletes and famous people joined the donor movement, including: Konstantin Tszyu, Alexey Nemov, Tatyana Navka, Alexander Zubkov, Alexey Voevoda,Anton Shipulin, Svetlana Khorkina, Irina Chashchina, Svetlana Masterkova, Natalia Ragozina, Ruslan Nigmatullin, Dmitry Sautin, Alexei Yagudin, Tatyana Totmyanina, Vyacheslav Malafeev and many others.
