About the page author

“Hi, I’m Meg, a needlewoman and mother,” our heroine introduces herself, in the past I’ve been a designer, now I’m a mother of three children, keen on sewing. “Despite the fact that I have had many different hobbies in my life, sewing has always been my favorite It all started in childhood, when I created outfits for dolls from flaps that remained from what my mother sewed on a Pfaff machine. I continued to sew in high school and high school. Then, during college, there was a period of rare sewing . And in 2014 I took out my car again. I was waiting for the first child and decided to try to sew knitted pants for the kid. That experience using a double needle was, so to speak, not very successful ... But sewing attracted me. Soon I was good I managed to turn my old shirts and shirts of my husband into mini-clothes in vintage style for our child.

I continued to sew something like children's clothing or a simple pencil skirt, until in 2016 I finally completely plunged into sewing. I was then expecting a second child, and was medically on strict regimen. I was not even allowed to raise my first baby. But I could sit at the table and sew - and I did it! Then I actually created a completely wardrobe for the newborn. And not only.In the process, I learned how to work correctly with knitwear, and how to change patterns, and correctly set tasks for myself on projects that at first seemed difficult.

I feel that sewing for me is like a life buoy for myself when I am head over heels in motherhood! In addition, the process of creating things definitely balances the workings of my right and left hemispheres. I still sew on the same Pfaff - seriously, it’s about as old as me, it even says “Made in West Germany”. But I am glad to state that my current work is already a step forward, or even two. At least, if you recall the doll clothes and the strange skirts that I sewed in my youth. And I keep sewing and learning. "
