To decorate such a needle bed, you can use the remains of different fabrics, and by the same principle you can sew a larger pillow.

According to the principle described in this master class, you can sew and decorate both a small pillow-needle bed and a decorative pillow. The method is good for the disposal of scraps of tissue. Here, all the fabrics are cotton, about the same thickness and density, but you can take different, including different textures.

DIY do-it-yourself flower needle box

Step 1

On paper, draw and cut a leaflet template for applique.

Glue pieces of gasket to shreds of fabric from the inside with an iron. Circle and cut the part of the applique on each. The paper layer can be removed before or after cutting. So prepare 9 application details.

Step 2

On the flap for one of the pillow parts on the front side, arrange the leaves as you would stick them. You can use the ruler. Glue the details of the application with an iron.

Step 3

Assemble a sandwich: part with applique, batting / sheet synthetic winterizer, cotton fabric. Chip all the layers with a few pins.

Step 4

Sew a needle forward along the perimeter of each leaf, capturing all layers of the sandwich.

Step 5

On the patch with the appliqué, mark the square of the front part of the pad. The application should be in the center of the square, it is good that from the edges of the application to the edges of the square there should be at least 2.5 cm. Fold the patch with the patch with the patch for the back of the pillow and at the same time cut 2 identical square details.

Step 6

Fold the parts with the sides inward and pin them together.

Step 7

Sew around the perimeter, leaving a hole for turning out. Cut corners.

Step 8

Turn out the pillow and fill with filler.

Sew the hole manually with a blind stitch.

Done!
