Narrow drawstrings for the drawstring are usually cut out obliquely. But the ties with a width of 1 cm in the finished form can be cut out in a straight line. But on the lobar or transverse - it does not really matter.
In models with a carmen neckline, a wide neckline and raglan sleeves, an elastic drawstring or drawstring is often provided. With its help, you can easily adjust the width of the cutout, if you want to expose one or both shoulders, or make a choice in favor of the gathered round neck of the product.

Wide ties are best suited for a wide drawstring.
Step 1
Usually, the instructions for Burda patterns indicate the total length of the tie. With this in mind, cut out the required number of strips 4 cm wide (in finished form, the tie will be 1 cm wide).
Plane in a straight line is best cut out on a string, how to do it correctly, read in our master class:
How to cut fabric evenly
Step 2
Stitch strips with each other, folded with the front sides.
Step 3
Iron allowances first, then iron.
Step 4
