Emily sews herself and strives to ensure that her things are performed perfectly - both outside and inside, from the inside out.
About the page author
Today’s character in our column is Emily, she lives in Texas. "I want the clothes I sewed to look just as good and even better than the clothes bought in the store!" she says.
Emily recalls starting sewing as a teenager. “No matter how much I think about other career paths, it became obvious that my vocation is design and fashion,” she recalls. Emily received a specialized education and in 2010 tried to start a business by developing and producing clothes under her brand Emily Hallman Collection. “Hallman is the paternal name of my paternal grandmother, a talented seamstress. I took her name for my brand because I feel that I inherited many of her talents,” says Emily. Five years later, Emily realized that business was still not for her, although she "invested a huge amount of time, love and energy in her small business." Today, Emily continues to sew, sharing experience and best practices on her blog.

What is this page about
Emily characterizes her style as feminine, close to classic, a little bizarre. She admits that "she has a weakness for quality fabrics, floral prints and dresses with pockets." Most of the photos on Emily's page are ready-made clothes she sewed, things in the process, fabrics and so on. It is much more interesting to consider these photos, if you know that one of the "fad" of our heroine is in a good sense, perfectionism in terms of the quality of execution of components, parts and things in general.
“External beauty is important. But if what is hidden under it is ugly, dirty and messy, does it change the beauty of the exterior? I think so,” says Emily. According to her convictions, she makes every effort, connecting experience and ingenuity, experimenting to improve the known and find new methods that allow to achieve not only external but also internal perfection of her work. Emily compares the search for this perfection in sewing with the solution to the puzzle. The section on her website so far only promises master classes with her methods, but for now a little more details about them can be read (in English) here, plus - see the photo on her Instagram page.
