Designers' new proposal is very wide belts: they make the waist narrow, and the figure is surprisingly slim!

Game of contrasts

The beige leather belt is effectively edged with chocolate-colored leather. The original clasp consists of a metal ring and buttons on screw legs.
The pattern of the rounded end of the belt.
The length of the belt is 70−75−80−85 cm.

You will need:

  • genuine leather in two different colors: for a belt - a plate holding a skin shape approx. 30 x 45 cm, for edging and pat - a soft leather plate 10 x 25 cm
  • 2 buttons on screw legs
  • 1 metal ring with a diameter of 3 cm (Leder Baumann)
  • adhesive for textiles (e.g. Rudolfix, Guetermann Klebenaht HT 2)
  • sewing threads
  • punch mites (Prym)

Cutting:

  • 2 belt parts 34–37–39–41 cm long and 12 cm wide
  • 2 stitches of leather of each color 18 cm long and 3 cm wide
  • 4 strips for edging slices 25 cm long and 1.5 cm wide

Description of work:

1. Transfer the pattern of the rounded end of the belt to silk paper. Transfer the contours of the pattern to the wrong sides of the belt parts, extend the pattern lines exactly to the straight end of the part (middle seam). Belt details to cut out.
2. Fold the belt parts with their front sides and grind the middle sections at a distance of 5 mm. Spread allowances on both sides of the seam and stick.
3. Glue the fringing strips along the contour of the belt from the wrong side to a width of 7 mm, while gluing the ends of the strips with an overlap of approx. 1 cm at the middle seam and between the front transverse marks (cut off excess). Unscrew the strips by rounding the cut onto the front side of the belt and stitch it to the edge from the front side of the belt.
4. Put the details of the form-keeping and soft leather pat in pairs on the wrong sides and glue it. Round each end to one end. Sew slices to the edge. Place the straight ends of the pat under the ends of the belt between the transverse marks to a length of 6 cm and stick to a length of approx. 1 cm
5. Stitch stitches into the seam of the stitching of the edging. Punch holes for buttons according to the marking (x). Buttons to attach. On each stitch at a distance of 2 cm and 5 cm from the rounded end, punch holes in the corresponding button places. Thread the ends of the pat into a metal ring and fasten to the buttons.

Successful union

The basis of the belt is a leather rectangle. A strip of contrasting skin color is threaded through half rings of silver color.
The length of the belt is 70−75−80−85 cm.

You will need:

  • genuine leather in two different colors: for a belt - a plate holding a skin shape approx. 15 x 90 cm, for strips and tape - a soft leather plate 25 x 50 cm
  • 16 half rings with a diameter of 4 cm (Union Knopf)
  • adhesive for textiles (e.g. Rudolfix, Guetermann Klebenaht HT 2)
  • sewing threads
  • "magic" tailor's chalk

Cutting:

  • belt 72–77–82–87–87 cm long and 13 cm wide
  • 2 strips 37–40–42–45 cm long and 4 cm wide
  • 4 tape parts 50 cm long and 4 cm wide

Description of work:

1. Place one end of one strip with the wrong side on the front side of the end of the second strip for a length of 5 mm, glue and stitch on the edge.
2. On the belt, mark the vertical line of the middle with a “magic” tailor's chalk. Place a strip on the belt in the middle, aligning the seam with the marked line of the middle of the belt, and stick the strip along this line.
3. On both sides of the midline, lay a 12.5 cm length on the strip and place marks. Mark vertical lines along the strip at the marks, between the marks line the strip along the longitudinal edges to the edge.
4. Pass each end of the strip into one half-ring, place another vertical line along the half-ring (at a distance of about 7 mm from the first vertical stitch) (with a foot for attaching fasteners - zippers).
5. Next, again thread the end of the strip into a half-ring, lay a vertical line near the half-ring and at a distance of 3 cm from the first line, between the vertical lines, sew the longitudinal edges of the strip to the edge.Attach 3 pairs of half rings at each end of the strip in the same way.
6. Stitch the free ends of the strip onto the belt, cutting off the excess. The details of the tape are folded in pairs in the same way as the stripes. Fold both long parts of the tape with the wrong sides and glue them together. Mow the ends. Stitch the tape around the perimeter to the edge, thread into the first pair of half rings on one side.

Wasp waist

Thanks to the cut and the combination of dark and light colors, the leather belt - the corsage will help you find your perfect shape!

How to make a corsage belt

Pattern:

You will need:

  • genuine leather in two different colors - 2 plates, 50 x 20 cm each
  • 1 buckle with a peg 1.5 cm high
  • flizofiks
  • adhesive for textiles (e.g. Rudolfix, Guetermann Klebenaht HT 2)
  • silk paper
  • punch mites (Prym)
  • ball pen
  • sewing threads

Description of work:

1. Reshoot the pattern, for which fold the silk paper in half and combine the fold with the short straight edge of the pattern.
2. Cut and lay out the pattern in one layer.
3. On the skin plate of each color from the wrong side, apply a pattern twice and outline the contours of parts with a ballpoint pen. For shorter longitudinal sections (transverse seam) and for oblique short sections (side seams), draw allowances for 7 mm wide seams. Belt details to cut out.
4. Cut the front parts of both colors along the midline.
5. From the skin flap of the same color, cut out the details of the fastener: 1 stitch 16 cm long and 1.5 cm wide, 2 stitches 12 cm long and 1.5 cm wide and 1 belt loop 4 cm long and 7 mm wide.
6. On the rear parts, cut allowances along the side oblique sections. Place the back parts with the wrong sides on the front sides of the allowances on the side seams of the front parts to a width of 7 mm, glue and stitch at a distance of 3 mm.
7. Fold the upper and lower parts of the belt with the front sides and make a transverse seam. Spread the seam allowances on both sides of the seam and glue.
8. Perform a stitch with a buckle (see step-by-step instructions below).
9. Glue the ends of the loops. Glue both parts of the second stitch 12 cm long using a flizofiks, the wrong side to the wrong side. At a distance of 2.5 cm from one end, punch a hole on the stitch, and then 2 more holes with an interval of 2.5 cm. Fasten the stitches (thread the buckle into the middle hole) and place it on the belt over the transverse seam, aligning the front sections of the belt. Glue the rear ends of the pat to a length of approx. 1 cm and stitch around the perimeter of the square.

How to make a buckle stitch

You will need:

  • scissors
  • punch mites (Prym)
  • stripes of leather and flizofiksa (for stitches)
  • short narrow strip (for loops)
  • buckle

Step 1

Iron the flizofiks to the leather stitch from the wrong side. Fold the pata in half, punch a hole at a distance of 5 mm from the fold, make an incision to the hole.

Step 2

Lay out the pata and remove the paper side of the flizofiksa. Insert the peg buckle. Put a loops on top, put the ends between the halves of the stitches.

Step 3

Iron the stitch by gluing both halves of the stitch with flizofiks and grabbing the ends of the loops.

Tip: before starting work, try to glue unnecessary flaps of skin with the help of a flizofix. Flizofiks can be replaced with glue for textiles.
