Tired of an old classic cardigan? Turn it into a new jacket, decorating with braids, lace and appliqués.

Heartfelt greetings
YOU WILL NEED: knitted cardigan; 1 detachable metal zipper 75 cm long; suede residues; tissue paper, sewing thread.
HOW TO MAKE: to disconnect a zipper. Paste a half of a zipper without a lock on the right shelf and almost to the middle of the back on the right shelf so that the cloves lie exactly on the edge. Stitch the edge of the zipper tape. On the other half of the zipper remove the lock. Paste this half over the upper loop and buttons so that the teeth protrude to a width of 7 mm. Cut the neckline to the zipper tape, but do not grab the already sewn-in zipper tape.
Copy motifs A, B and C. From suede cut one big heart and one star, as well as 9 small hearts. After fitting, larger heart and star to prick on the sleeves in the elbow. Stitch the edges of motives to the edge or glue with a glue stick. Place small hearts on the left shelf (on 3 hearts the smooth side of the suede is at the top). Scribble to the edge.

Pretty ruffles
YOU WILL NEED: knitted jacket. Finished oblique collar 2 cm wide and velvet ribbon 7 cm wide, length = length of the sides + neck length + 5 cm. Lace braid with teeth along one edge 1 cm wide, length = length of the sides + neck length + 80 cm. Cotton fabric 140 wide 30 cm long. 5 large hooks and loops for fasteners, threads for sewing.
HOW TO MAKE: on a jacket to unfasten buttons. Pull the slanting collar onto the sides and edges of the neck, tighten the ends of the collar at the lower edge. Stitch the edges to the edge.
From the cotton fabric, cut out 2 pockets 26 cm long and 12 cm wide. Fold the parts half face to face, and round the lower corners. Stitch sections of pockets into the edge to a width of 1 cm, leave a hole with a length of approx. 5 cm. To turn out and iron pockets. Sweep lacy braid under the side and bottom sections so that only scallops protrude. Stick pockets on the shelves of the jacket, stitch the edges to the edge.
Tear the remaining cotton fabric into strips 4 cm wide. Iron the strips and pull the fringe along the edges. Strip strips in one long strip. Sew hooks and fasteners to the sides at regular intervals.

White Rose
YOU WILL NEED: knitted cardigan; remnants of cotton 50 x 40 cm; lace tulle 90 cm wide 40 cm long; tissue paper, sewing thread.
HOW TO MAKE: copy the motifs D and E onto tissue paper. At the same time, fold the paper in half for the collar (motif D) in half and lay the motif in a fold with a dashed line.Cut out the details, lay the collar in one layer. Detail of the collar 2x cut out of cotton fabric and 1x of lace tulle with allowances for seams 7 mm wide. Mark the lace part on the cotton part, then treat it as a single-layer part. Stitch the collar parts face-to-face, leave a hole of approx. 5 cm for eversion. To turn out a collar and to iron. Sew the hole in the seam. Place the collar on the jacket (the middle of the collar lies in the middle of the back), sew the inner edge manually.
The motif of the Eiffel Tower cut from tulle without allowances. On lace, cut off an edge 5 mm wide. Use this strip as lines for floors and arches (marked in gray). Place the motive on the left shelf of the jacket and sew it by hand.
